We were recently contacted by a homeowner in Puchong who had a problem with their OAE 333A swing autogate system. The gate could not open, and at that time, the customer was stuck outside the house and unable to enter.
The small side gate was locked with a chain and padlock, and the house key was inside. The main gate was too high to climb. To avoid injury or falling, the customer carefully tried to push the gate by force just to get inside the house.
This was the second time the customer contacted us. The first time, the autogate also could not open, and the original installer could not be reached. At that time, we guided the customer through troubleshooting steps, and the system worked again after a reset.
However, this time the problem was more serious. Even after troubleshooting, the autogate still could not work. We then advised the customer to remove the autogate arm so the gate could be opened manually for safety.
On-Site Inspection Found OAE 333A Autogate Problem
The next morning, our team went to the site for inspection. We found that the main cause of the problem was a faulty control board in the OAE system. In addition, the autogate arm gearbox was also damaged.
This happened because the customer previously forced the gate open manually when it was stuck, which caused internal damage to the arm mechanism. After checking the overall condition and repair cost, the customer decided it was better to replace the whole system instead of repairing the old one.
