Old OAE Autogate Failed at Night – New Autogate Installation Needed
Late at night, we received a call from a customer in Taman Melawati with a problem: their OAE 333A autogate wouldn’t open, leaving them stuck outside. They had to park the car outside and climb over the gate to enter their house. This was actually their second time contacting us. The first time, their autogate wouldn’t respond to the remote, and they couldn’t reach their original installer. We assisted them with some autogate troubleshooting over the phone, and after resetting the system, it started working again.
However, this time, even after performing the same troubleshooting steps, the autogate still wouldn’t work. We then advised the customer to detach the OAE arm manually to open the gate, but unfortunately, the screws were badly rusted. The customer forced it, and over time, the screw heads became too worn to turn.
This morning, we arrived for an inspection and found that the OAE autogate motherboard was faulty. After considering the situation, the customer decided not to proceed with repairs for the following reasons:
- The OAE autogate system was already very old,
- The autogate arm was difficult to open manually,
- They didn’t want to risk the same problem happening again.
