Autogate PCB Damaged by a Dead Lizard? It Happens!
Our team was recently called to a home in Bangi where the customer’s autogate wouldn’t open at all. Since the original installer was no longer reachable, they found us by searching “autogate repair near me” and contacted Sam Autogate through a friend’s recommendation.
After our on-site inspection, we discovered that the S-1 swing autogate motherboard had burnt out due to a dead lizard behind the board – a surprisingly common issue in Malaysia!
The customer also mentioned that during a previous blackout, the autogate used to open manually but now it doesn’t. We found that the autogate backup battery was completely dead and needed replacing too.
We immediately replaced both the faulty S-1 motherboard and installed a high-quality autogate battery, which we always carry as part of our essential spare parts kit. With the customer’s approval, we completed the repair in just about an hour.
Right after that, we headed to a new home in Semenyih to install a Tronica® 929 arm autogate system. All in a day’s work!
