Factory Autogate Repair

The factory autogate is important. If it breaks down, vendors’ trucks can’t deliver materials, and your trucks can’t deliver to customers. This disruption will impact both your production lines and your customers’ production. The factory autogate is also important for keeping intruders out. It controls access to your premises, ensuring that outsiders cannot enter without your permission. Moreover, the factory autogate helps maintain better operational efficiency. By regulating who can enter or exit, it prevents unauthorized access during business hours and ensures smoother management of traffic flow. This reduces potential risks such as theft or sabotage, safeguarding both your valuable assets and sensitive operations.

Your factory’s main entrance is so important that you can’t afford for it to break down. When it does, you need to quickly find an autogate repairer to fix it, right? However, it’s difficult to find an auto gate repairer with the experience and manpower necessary to fix a factory autogate. No worries, you’ve come to the right place. With 30 years of experience in fixing factory and commercial autogates, we’ve here to help you.

Large Gates For Factory Autogate, Commercial Autogate, ....

Factory autogates, warehouse autogates, commercial building autogates, condo autogates—there are so many different places that require large gates to control access. Why do they require large gates? Because many big trucks and trailers need to enter and exit the premises. A minimum of 40 feet of entrance clearance is necessary for these heavy vehicles to maneuver and turn safely. In addition to accommodating large vehicles, these gates enhance security and streamline the flow of goods and personnel. Large autogates provide a controlled access point, allowing businesses to monitor entry and exit effectively. This not only helps prevent unauthorized access but also improves operational efficiency by facilitating smoother logistics and delivery processes. As a result, investing in appropriately sized autogates is essential for any facility that handles significant traffic from large trucks and trailers.

Don’t Use Single-Leaf Gate For Factory

Factory or commercial autogates are typically very large and heavy, often designed as either single-leaf or double-leaf gates. A single-leaf gate is similar to the ones used for semi-detached houses or bungalows, but for factories, it’s much longer and larger to accommodate industrial needs. Using a single-leaf gate for factories is not advisable because the longer gate relies on guide rollers to stay straight. Guide rollers are usually made of nylon, and they’re expected to support and guide a 1,000kg gate. Can you imagine the strain this puts on such lightweight material? Over time, the rollers may struggle to keep the gate straight, leading to alignment issues. This can cause the gate to lean, increasing wear and tear, and eventually, operational problems.

It may lean inward or outward, causing alignment issues and reducing the gate’s durability. When it leans, the gate may scratch the wall, and most of the time, the autogate installer gets blamed for the issue. In some cases, the nylon guide rollers can suddenly break under the weight, causing the gate to fall over. This not only poses a serious safety risk but can also result in injuries and damage to vehicles parked or passing nearby.

Why Double-Leaf Gates Are a Better Choice

What is a double-tracked autogate? Next time you pass by an industrial area, take a look at the gates. You’ll notice that they often have double leaves and use double tracks to slide the gate smoothly to the left and right. This design provides extra support and stability, making it ideal for larger, heavier gates commonly used in industrial applications.

When making a double-tracked autogate, it’s important to use a minimum of 6-inch metal hollow for the main frame, and both gate leaves must be evenly balanced. We’ve seen gates where the outer leaf leans because the inner leaf was made with less metal, causing an imbalance. To avoid this, make sure both leaves are properly reinforced to ensure long-term stability and smooth functionality.

Industrial Sliding Autogate Motor

We typically recommend the Zkron 3000S or Zkron 3000T for factory autogates. Both models can handle gates weighing up to 3,000kg. The Zkron 3000S operates on a single-phase system, while the Zkron 3000T is designed for three-phase, offering more power and efficiency for larger industrial applications. These industrial autogate motors are built with robust materials, ensuring extreme reliability and long-term performance even in the toughest environments.

We have installed thousands of ZKRON industrial autogate motors for numerous multinational companies and government agencies. Our proven track record demonstrates the reliability and durability of ZKRON motors in demanding industrial environments. If your factory gates are large, long, and require frequent opening and closing, the ZKRON industrial sliding autogate motor is the best choice. Its durable design and powerful performance make it ideal for heavy-duty, high-traffic environments.

Another popular choice is Valet autogate, which is well-known in Malaysia. We have installed various Valet models (Valet VT 1500S, Autogate Valet VT 2000T, Autogate Valet VT 2500S, Autogate Valet VT 3000T, Autogate Valet VT 4000T, auto gate valet VT 5000T, auto gate valet VT 6000T) for factories throughout the Klang Valley, and they’ve proven to be reliable and efficient for industrial use.

Beninca, Telcoma and DEA are also top-notch brands from Italy, known for their solid materials and high performance. We typically use these models for residential applications, where their reliability and quality make them an excellent choice for homes. Gforce SL1000 and SL2000, as well as Celmer SL1000 and SL2000, are high-quality motors made in Malaysia. Unfortunately, they have ceased operations.

Note: For factory applications, it’s best to avoid using sliding autogate motors designed for home use. These motors can overheat after just 1 or 2 cycles of opening and closing.

WARNING!!! Higher-Capacity Autogate Motor for Faulty a Gate?

If your gate’s rollers are worn out and it’s hard to operate by sliding ac autogate motor, sliding dc autogate motor or even by hand, please don’t just replace the factory autogate rollers or install a higher-capacity ac motor to force the gate open. This is the wrong mindset. You should hire a professional autogate company to fix the faulty gate before installing any autogate motor. Many companies do this, but when we explain that the gate could fall and cause injuries or damage to nearby vehicles, most refuse to listen. Instead, they keep looking for a higher-capacity autogate motor to forcefully pull the gate. Some of them are arrogant; they think they know better and end up trying to teach you what to do.

It’s not rocket science to understand. Imagine the rollers are jammed—if the autogate motor continues to pull the gate, what will happen? The gate will fall over right? So please, don’t do that. First, you need to fix the faulty gate before choosing a suitable autogate motor for your factory gate. If you can’t find a factory autogate repairer to help you, don’t worry—we can assist you. Our prices are reasonable, and we have many years of experience, the right tools, and stock on hand to get the job done.

Why Factory Autogate Maintenace Is Important

Unfortunately, many people ignore the importance of the factory’s front entrance autogate. We’ve noticed that many do not maintain their autogates properly. Common issues include allowing large trucks to damage the gate, resulting in bent or misaligned structures. Over time, this neglect can lead to further malfunctions, disrupting daily operations and compromising security. Additionally, some gates are left with slow or faulty mechanisms, making them unreliable for efficient access control. Here are some problems we have observed:

  1. Grass is not cut regularly.
  2. Sand, stones, and soil build up near the autogate motor area.
  3. The track is dented, rusted, and has sunk, yet the gate continues to operate until the wheels are damaged.
  4. The wall plugs for the autogate motor can become loose because the footing is not made of concrete. Customers want a low price, so autogate installers offer cheaper services, which is why they may skip making a concrete footing.

Many people underestimate the importance of the factory autogate and neglect its maintenance. They only realize its significance when auto gate issues arise—like the auto gate failing to open, the sliding auto gate motor getting stuck halfway, or the auto gate not closing. This often leads to panic when they need to go home. We often get urgent calls for help. Many people think the problems are easy to fix and that one person can do it at night. They don’t realize they are facing big problems that can cost a lot of money to fix.

It’s safe to say that 8 out of 10 factories face issues with their autogate tracks and rollers. Common problems include tracks that are dented, sunken, rusted, or even broken. These complications typically stem from the dusty conditions created by heavy vehicles frequently entering and exiting the premises. Accumulations of mud, leaves, sand, soil, and stones can gather around the motor and track. Unfortunately, many factories tend to overlook this critical area and often fail to engage cleaners for regular maintenance.

Autogate Track and Rollers

For factory autogates, angle bars are commonly used as tracks. But, some contractors cut corners by using thin materials, such as 4mm thickness, for the angle bar. Can you imagine a large trailer weighing 50 tonnes passing over such a track? It’s doubtful that the track can withstand that weight, leading to potential failures and safety hazards. We recommend using at least a 75mm angle bar with an 8mm or 10mm thickness for factory autogates. This ensures that the track can withstand the heavy loads imposed by large trailers. When using a 75mm angle bar, it’s important to weld a metal plate every 3 feet along the angle bar and secure it with Y12 reinforced bars, inserting them 2 feet into the ground. Once the angle bars are in place, cover at least 15mm of the assembly with concrete for added stability and strength, leaving 60mm exposed on the surface. To create a solid foundation for the track, dig a trench that is 3 feet wide and 2 feet deep, then pour concrete into the trench. This will ensure a robust and durable support for the autogate system. This is what we call doing it right the first time, which will help it last a long time.

For autogate rollers, we recommend using 4-inch rollers. These rollers come with a bracket, where one side of the roller is larger, and the other side shows less of the roller. For the side of the roller that shows less, we recommend inserting it into the hollow frame, allowing only the side with more of the roller exposed to sit on the track. This way, the gate sits higher, allowing the autogate motor to be installed at a higher position as well. This is the best recommendation, but usually contractors or customers don’t follow it—ahaha!
